Drink More Water

Trade juice and soda for water and tea, making sure to hydrate throughout the day and both before and after every time that you exercise. Not only will water keep your electrolytes in balance, but it can boost your metabolism and even clear your complexion. Current research suggests getting at least half of your body’s weight in fluid ounces per day.

Eat When Hungry, Stop When Full

Discipline, not deprivation, is your best friend when it comes to losing weight. Focus on smaller portion sizes and make sure to eat whenever you are hungry, stopping when you are full and limiting splurge foods as much as possible. Fill your plate with fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats and fish, and whole grains, but allow yourself the occasional treat in order that you not sabotage your success down the road.
