You probably have more than a few custom snapbacks. Of course, you can custom-order various snapbacks, and that’s a great way to have a cap that’s professionally made. If you want yours to stand out from the crowd, however, there are other ways that you can take matters into your own hands and personalize your custom snapbacks. What can you do to your cap to make it unique? The tricks below are great ways that you can make your cap your own.
Customize the Strap
The strap on the back of your cap is probably made the same way on all of your custom snapbacks. All of the caps that your friends and everyone else has probably looked exactly the same. You can actually customize this strap for a unique look, and even a more comfortable fit. One of the best ways to do this is to use a leather watch strap. You can use an old watch, or you can purchase an inexpensive watch. You can find these watches with leather straps almost anywhere, and it should be fairly easy to find one for a very good price. Of course, you don’t have to use a leather strap. You can use any type of watch strap that you’d like. Watch straps come in all different shapes and sizes, and some have very attractive buckles.
Customize the Brim
The brim, or bill, of the cap is something you can customize with a little bit of skill. You will probably need a sewing machine for this, but this is a great way to make your cap look completely unique. Many hats today use a two-tone design, with a different tone on the bill than the rest of the hat. You can customize this as well with any color of your choice. If you go to your local craft supply store, you’ll find many different colors and many different types of fabric material.
You’ll need to sew out the shape of the brim with your fabric, so it’s best to having a sewing machine. Once you’ve sewn out the new bill, you can slip it over the old fabric, and then sew it into place. Of course, if you don’t own a sewing machine, you might have a professional do this for you.
Put Your Own Label on the Cap
Whether you have your own logo, or just have another logo that you like, you can actually put any other logo on the front of your hat. You can take labels off of other hats you own, or off of other clothing items. You can simply cut that label off with a pair of scissors, and then sew it onto the front of a blank cap that you own.
