Are you looking for an environmentally friendly alternative to the typical oven? If so, think about spending money on a renovated Aga. A reconditioned cooker from the Aktiebolaget Gas Accumulator range will not be as costly as a brand new one, but will be just as energy efficient. Crafted with recycled materials, these cast-iron range stoves and cookers were invented way back in 1922 by Nobel Prize winner, Gustaf Dalen. With their sturdy frame and appealing look, there’s no wonder why so many homeowners buy these cookers for the kitchen.

If you are on the verge of buying a traditional two-oven Aga or deluxe model but don’t know which type to choose between, make yourself aware of the advantages offered by each. While the two styles may look very similar, they work in different ways.

Traditional Renovated Aga

The core of a Traditional renovated Aga will be made of cast iron, which is a durable type of metal. Constantly powered on, the Aga will send heat to its hotplates and ovens from morning until night. Unlike the more modern oven that is designed with dials and switches, an Aga does not have any. The constant temperature is maintained and monitored thanks to the oven’s built-in thermostat. The great thing about a Traditional cooker is that you won’t need to heat the home as often when it’s in use, because the cooker will affect interior temperature. Instead of a conventional hob, the traditional model will have hot plates, which can be used for toasting bread. More food can be cooked on a range cooker than a traditional renovated Aga, but range cookers are usually more expensive.

Deluxe Renovated Aga

In the late 1960s, Aga introduced its deluxe model, which is just as popular as the traditional model. This model could only be powered by gas, oil and fuel before, but thanks to the latest developments, shoppers can now buy a Deluxe 13 amp electrical powered renovated Aga. When comparing the Deluxe’s performance levels, oven sizes and hot plate sizes with the Traditional renovated Aga, there is not a whole lot of difference. The only major difference is its appearance because the Deluxe is more contemporary, as it has rounded edges instead of the usual sharp edges the Traditional has.
